Our Chinderhuus

On the ground floor of the main house are the rooms of groups "Muulwurf" (Mole) and "Tatzelwurm" (Caterpillar), as well as a bathroom. The kitchen is also located on the ground floor.

On the first floor are the rooms of group "Schwalbenäscht" (Swallow's Nest) and the bedrooms of all these three groups. The Chinderhuus management also has its office on this floor.

On the second floor, the group "Sternschnuppe" (Shooting Star) has set itself up with everything it needs.

In the basement the "Paradise" offers us an additional space for activity games or for romping and driving with the bobby cars. In the painting room the children can be creative with paintbrushes and colours.

Group "Rägeboge" (Rainbow) is located on the ground floor of the neighbouring building, connected to the main house by the spacious garden and the common entrance area.

Kitchen

Every morning I prepare the breakfast, brew tea and warm milk and soon after I start with vegetables for lunch.

It is particularly important to me that the products are fresh and come from the region. I make sure that I cook according to the season and that the menus are varied nonetheless. I don't just stick to Swiss cuisine, I often prepare dishes from Asia, South America or other European countries.

EXTRACT FROM THE CHINDERHUUS ZUMIKON SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY

The safety, health and well-being of the children and staff who stay at the Chinderhuus are of central concern to us.

The goal of this safety policy of Chinderhuus Zumikon is to ensure that the employees are as well prepared as possible in emergencies and can assess the situation correctly and act accordingly. To this end, the employees regularly take part in safety courses and theory sessions.

To ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible in an emergency, the tasks of each group are clearly defined and the alarm priorities are defined in writing.
